Small-Molecule Novel Drug Ingredients Lab

The “Small-Molecule Novel Drug Ingredients Lab” project aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility for developing and pilot-scale manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for early-stage (Phase I) clinical trials. This new lab will include four units: a cGMP suite for handling APIs at pilot scale, synthetic chemistry areas for 100 g to kilogram-scale work, and an analytical chemistry unit.

Reactor systems 1000L, 630L Pilot production reactor systems for line 1 to perform chemical reactions at larger scale. Used for synthesis and crystallization during API production steps.
Reactor systems 400L, 250L, 160L Pilot production reactor systems for line 2 to perform chemical reactions at larger scale. Used for synthesis and crystallization during API production steps.
Glass tank with stirrer system Used for extraction purposes to assist working with glass-lined reactors in pilot production line 1.
Centrifuges Used to separate solids from liquids after crystallization or filtration in new pilot production rooms.
Nutsche filters Used for solid-liquid separation under vacuum or pressure working with glass-lined equipment. Also used for hot filtration purposes.
Nutsche filters (up to 150L) Used for solid-liquid separation under vacuum or pressure. Will also be used for hot filtration purposes. Capacity up to 150L.
Pressure filter Used for solid-liquid separation under vacuum or pressure working with glass-lined equipment. Also used for hot filtration purposes.
Glass-lined mixer Used for mixing suspensions and pre-reaction blending. Supports pilot production line 1.
Vacuum drying ovens (150L rooms) Ovens used in 150L production line rooms to dry APIs or intermediates under vacuum and remove residual solvents.
High-pressure reactor Carries out reactions under high pressure and temperature. Used for hydrogenations.
Reactor system up to 150L Used to perform small-scale reactions and scale-up activities.
Distillation system Separates components based on boiling point differences. Used for deep vacuum distillation as a purification step.
Glass tank with stirrer (Line 2) Used for extraction purposes to assist working with glass-lined reactors in pilot production line 2.
